VolumeLeaders LLC – Privacy Policy Effective date: March 14, 2022 Thank you for visiting the website of VolumeLeaders LLC, a Virginia limited liability company located in Chantilly, Virginia USA (“VolumeLeaders,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and reviewing our privacy policy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) discusses the information we gather about you (“Subscriber”) while you use the VolumeLeaders website (“Site” or “Service”), the ways we use and protect that information, what choices are available to you regarding the use of your information, and how you can contact us to correct any inaccuracies in the information or for any other reasons. We are committed to respecting the privacy rights of our candidates, subscribers, and other users of the Site. By visiting and using this Site, you agree that your use of the Site, and any dispute over VolumeLeaders’ online privacy practices is governed by this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any information you provide us, or that we may collect, offline or through other activities. Personal Information The only personal information we collect from you when you visit the Site is when you subscribe to our VolumeLeaders, click on the “Contact Us” link, or send us an email from the Site, or when you go through the application process for a position at VolumeLeaders. When you send an email or other communication to VolumeLeaders, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests, and improve our services. When you subscribe to our VolumeLeaders, we ask for certain required information, namely, your name, organization, organization type, title, e-mail address, and a phone number. Any other information, not required, you share with us at your own risk. We may provide links to Other Sites, as discussed further below. For example, we may provide links to third-party sites for managing subscriptions and for processing electronic payment, for your convenience. If you instead ask us for an invoice, in order to pay by check or by automated clearing house (ACH) transaction, then at your option, we may hold certain of your financial information in order to ensure payment is properly processed, and for payment tracking purposes. When you apply for a position at VolumeLeaders, we may collect personal information as part of the online application process. We ask for your name, e-mail address, mailing address, telephone number, your background, and other information on your résumé. You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time or change any of your information by following the unsubscribe link or the instructions we provide in any email we send, or by contacting us in writing. Any change will be effective for emails or other action not yet in process. We may also retain any information changed or deleted by you for record-keeping purposes. Cookies Like many websites and similar services, we use “cookies” in order to make it easier for you to use the Site and for us to gather information about the users of the Site. Cookies are files with a small amount of data and may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and transferred to your device. We use cookies to collect information in order to improve our service to you. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being used. The Help feature of most browsers provides information on how to accept cookies, disable cookies or to notify you when receiving a new cookie. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to sign in or use other features of our Site and the services that depend on cookies, but you will be able to perform basic navigation through the Site. Other sites Our Service may contain links to other third-party sites that are not operated by us. If you click on such a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services. We strongly encourage you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit, particularly any site that collects personally identifiable information about you. Please note, for example, we use a third-party vendor for subscription signup, PayPal, an information technology company that works with many organizations, to manage subscriptions. Please further note, we use PayPal, a third-party financial services company, to process electronic paid subscriptions, for your convenience. If you request an invoice and choose to pay through automated clearing house (ACH) payment, this is processed through Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo, not VolumeLeaders, handles bank account information. VolumeLeaders takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any potential vulnerabilities and/or inaccessibility of these services. Information Use and Disclosure We will not use, sell, trade or otherwise share or transfer your personally identifiable information with any third party outside of our organization without first providing you with advance notice, except as described in this Policy. We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Site, to provide the Site on our behalf, to perform Site-related services, or to assist us in analyzing how users use our Site. These third parties have access to your information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are prohibited from disclosing or using your information for any other purpose. We will disclose your information where required to do so by law or subpoena, or if we believe such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement, or to protect the security or integrity of our Site and our services. We may also release your information when we believe such release is required to enforce our Site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your information may be transferred as a business asset. In such cases, we will provide notice before your information is transferred or becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy. Information Security The security of your information is important to us. We strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store, in order to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. In addition, the VolumeLeaders website is hosted in a secure server environment that uses technology designed to prevent interference or access from intruders. Be aware, however, that, despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Except as otherwise stated in this Policy, we restrict access to personal information to VolumeLeaders employees, contractors, agents, and service providers who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Site and our services. These individuals are typically bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations. If you are located outside United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the information, including your personal information, to the United States and process it there. Your consent to this Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer. In the unlikely event that individual personal information has been acquired, or is reasonably believed to have been acquired, from us by an unauthorized individual, and applicable law requires notification, we will notify the affected users of that breach. We will provide such notice promptly, although notification may be delayed if we or any law enforcement agency determines that notification would hinder an investigation.
